Muse have introduced their tenth studio album The WOW! Sign, which is about to reach 26 June through Warner Data.

The trio’s first full-length outing since 2022’s Will of the Folks, The WOW! Sign opens with the “opening salvo” of a lead single, Be With You, which begins with layered electronica and synth parts earlier than Matt Bellamy enters the fray with some blistering high-gain guitar. Per a press launch, The WOW! Sign takes its identify from a 72-second radio burst detected in 1977 “originating from the constellation Sagittarius with a bandwidth and depth that advised a doable extraterrestrial supply”.

“The astronomer who found the anomaly famously circled the now-iconic sequence ‘6EQUJ5’ and wrote ‘WOW!’ on the printout beside it – giving the sign its identify and cementing its place in scientific and pop-culture lore.”

As such, Muse’s new album seeks to discover “cosmic thriller, existential hope, and the exhilarating chance of contact with one thing far larger than ourselves”.
