In the meantime, the Scorching Jazzmaster Silencer gives a bit of further edge, offering basic Jazzmaster character however with “greater output and enhanced energy”. “The bridge pickup delivers sharp definition and maintain for solos that reduce by the combo, whereas the neck pickup provides full-bodied heat and low-end depth,” Seymour Duncan says.

Appropriate with any normal Jazzmaster, whereas these Silencer pickups have an modern triple-coil design, they nonetheless sport Alnico 5 pole items for that conventional Jazzmaster aesthetic.
With its promise of punchy highs and lows, the silencer’s readability is especially helpful for individuals who like to stack up on fuzz pedals and high-grain results. “If you’re stacking overdrives and fuzzes, which do pair very nicely with the Jazzmaster sound, you get that noise amplified all through your sign chain,” the promo explains. “When it comes out of your amp, it may be fairly harsh or intrude with the sound.”

Whereas some could flip to humbuckers to cancel out noise, this typically has a detrimental impression in your sound. “With stacked humbuckers, you take away noise, however you even have problems with section cancellation,” the promo video explains. “This reduces low finish and reduces the general output of the pickup. To make up for that, stacked humbuckers are historically overwound, which then reduces the excessive finish response of the pickup.”

“The advantage of this triple coil design is that each one three coils are literally in section with one another,” the video explains. “Meaning no section cancellation and no discount in excessive or low finish. The outer coils remove hum, whereas the centre coil delivers true Jazzmaster tone.”
